Artificial intelligence in comms

ChatGPT software is one of the hottest new trends in comms. And for good reason. If your work requires any kind of writing (which for most of us it certainly does) then it has the potential to make a huge difference.

But rather than be uneasy, the best thing to do is to look at how this AI can help us solve some of our problems. And how it can help us do our work even more efficiently.

For example, if you are struggling to start a piece of writing, then consider trying ChatGPT to help get you started. It can provide an excellent first draft that you - as a human professional with your insights and experience – can add flourish and creativity to.

It can also help with catchy headings. And of course, you can use AI to help you to review and edit your work.

Another use is with time-consuming tasks such as research, compiling media lists, drafting plans, or measurement. Again, this is where AI can step in, speed things up and free us up for more creative/strategic thinking.

What’s important in my view, is for comms professionals to understand what skills you have that add the most value to your clients. And use tech like ChatGPT to take off some of the non-essential workload.

Exciting times.
